Collect governed community input
Approved Knowledge Holders and community members can contribute Indigenous Knowledge, observations, land-use information, concerns, media, and locations with privacy choices attached.
Take Control. Protect. Prosper.
Protektant helps Indigenous Nations and Indigenous organizations collect and protect community knowledge, connect it to projects and maps, organize consultation evidence, prepare current Impact Studies and Nation Submissions, track commitments, and keep the resulting institutional record for the next project.
Built for Nation leadership and the teams responsible for consultation, lands, natural resources, environment, and economic development.
Start with a conversation, not a form. We are currently onboarding Nations directly so we can understand the work, answer questions, and set up the right starting point with you.

What Protektant does
Approved Knowledge Holders and community members can contribute Indigenous Knowledge, observations, land-use information, concerns, media, and locations with privacy choices attached.
Bring project information, Consultation Files, maps, geometry, issues, concerns, and governed records into one Nation-controlled working context.
Organize potential impacts and evidence, prepare a current internal Impact Study, and move through Draft Submission and Nation Submission workflows when needed.
Track delivery, responses, commitments, accommodation, monitoring, and follow-up so the institutional record does not disappear when the immediate file closes.
Technology prepares. The Nation decides. Nothing is published, sent, or approved automatically.
The connected workflow
The long-term value is not another isolated report. It is the ability to keep the evidence, decisions, context, and workflow connected so each project can strengthen the next.
Capture relevant community records with privacy and masking choices attached.
Connect the record to the project, map, concerns, rights context, and Consultation File.
Prepare internal work product, govern what becomes official, and create an approved Nation response when required.
Retain what happened next so the institutional record remains useful after the immediate process ends.
The project may be new. Your Nation's knowledge isn't.
A cumulative governed record means the next consultation does not have to begin with a blank page, a new spreadsheet, another folder search, and another round of rediscovering what the Nation has already learned.
Never start from zero again.
A different operating model
Project-by-project funding can accomplish the immediate work and still leave the Nation rebuilding the process when the next file arrives. Protektant is designed so today's work also strengthens tomorrow's starting point.
Existing project-by-project model
Protektant model
Make every funded project count twice: solve today's problem and build tomorrow's capacity.

Why it matters in practice
Reach beyond the meeting room.
Mobile and web participation adds another governed path for approved people to contribute on their own time, without replacing interviews, ceremonies, field studies, meetings, or professional expertise.
Approved Knowledge Holders and community members can contribute observations, Indigenous Knowledge, land-use information, values, concerns, media, and locations without replacing high-value in-person engagement.
Create more governed opportunities for approved people to contribute.
Reduce unnecessary repeated asks while preserving consent, context, and privacy choices.
Broader participation need not require another scheduled meeting for every additional contribution.
Institutional memory
Keep eligible records connected to their context, governance, projects, and follow-through so the next file can begin from what the Nation has already built.
The project may be new. Your Nation's knowledge isn't.
Ask less. Remember more.
Reuse remains subject to consent, privacy, masking, quality, relevance, protocol, Nation governance, and authorized-use controls.
Broaden governed participation without making every contribution a separate administrative project.
Keep eligible records connected to their context, governance, projects, and follow-through.
Bring eligible governed work forward instead of rebuilding the file from zero.
Expert leverage
Protektant does not replace expert judgment. It reduces avoidable reconstruction so lawyers, scientists, planners, GIS specialists, researchers, and advisors can spend more time on the work that requires expertise.
Nation-authorized experts remain valuable collaborators, without a per-expert seat fee for Nation-side work.
Your advisor may leave. Your institutional capacity should not.
Spend less expert time finding old folders and reconstructing project history.
Keep relevant evidence, issues, responses, and commitments in a reviewable workflow.
Use professional expertise where it creates value rather than to repeat avoidable collection.
Impact visibility and IBA readiness
When relevant land use, place, practice, environmental observation, cultural value, community concern, or rights interaction never enters the record, it may be harder to assess, address, mitigate, monitor, accommodate, or negotiate around.
Know the impacts before negotiating the benefits.
Protektant can strengthen the evidence base and preparation. It does not determine negotiation outcomes, compensation, accommodation, project approval, or benefits.
Funding without surrendering control
Government programs, regulators, proponents, project budgets, and other eligible funding sources may support Indigenous participation, studies, technical review, impact assessment, and related work. Paying for the work does not buy access to protected knowledge or authority over the Nation's interpretation, decisions, or authorized outputs.
Knowledge Holder ownership, privacy, and masking choices remain protected. The Nation governs its institutional workflow and official position. External parties receive only what is authorized through the appropriate governed process.
Funding may be available where eligible and depends on applicable program, regulatory, project, or other funding terms.
One platform, clear roles
Protektant keeps Knowledge Holder choices, Nation governance, professional collaboration, funding, and external project roles distinct while connecting the work that needs to move between them.
Govern participation, evidence, interpretation, Impact Studies, Nation Submissions, commitments, monitoring, and the institutional record in one connected workflow.

One project record for engagement and follow-throughThe funder supports the work. The Nation directs it.
For project teams and institutions
Keep project information organized and connect issues, responses, accommodation, commitments, monitoring, and authorized Nation outputs in a reviewable record.
Protektant supports regulatory review readiness and institutional continuity. Funding does not provide access to protected Indigenous Knowledge, Knowledge Holder identities, interpretation, Nation decisions, or unauthorized outputs.
Bring project records, issues, responses, and evidence into one reviewable workflow.
Connect concerns, accommodation, commitments, monitoring, and follow-through.
Maintain clearer documentation for governance, regulatory, and project review.
Data sovereignty and controlled use
Protektant distinguishes Knowledge Holder control, Nation institutional governance, authorized use, and TKI's ownership and operation of the platform.
Knowledge Holders retain ownership and record-level privacy and masking choices.
The Nation governs institutional protocols, review, interpretation, report readiness, authorized outputs, and official position.
Approved outputs can move through governed recipient workflows while protections remain attached.
Funding does not transfer governance authority or access to protected knowledge.
Traditional Knowledge Inc. owns, operates, and manages the Protektant platform. What accumulates for the Nation is Nation-owned institutional capacity, not ownership of TKI software or cloud infrastructure.
Managed cloud infrastructure
Protektant is secure, cloud based, and operated on TKI-managed infrastructure. Nations and Institutions do not need to buy, configure, host, or maintain local Protektant servers.
You govern the work. We manage the infrastructure.
Nation-owned capacity. Cloud-managed infrastructure.
The Nation controls participation, priorities, evidence review, interpretation, approvals, Nation Submissions, commitments, and monitoring.
Traditional Knowledge Inc. handles hosting, deployment, maintenance, technical updates, and underlying infrastructure operations.
Begin with the consultation problem instead of turning adoption into a local-server infrastructure project.
Trust, continuity & accountability
For a Nation-controlled institutional system, trust comes from how the platform behaves, how clearly the boundaries are explained, and how quickly a real person responds when something needs attention.
Your Permanent Free Nation Account is $0, is not a trial, and does not disappear because a project or funding period ends. Fund operational work separately when needed.
Your institutional record should outlive any one technology provider. Protektant is designed to let your Nation carry forward the records it is entitled to receive, while respecting Knowledge Holder rights, privacy choices, third-party rights, and surviving obligations.
Questions, concerns and complaints have a direct path to our team for human review.
Stay because Protektant keeps creating value, not because of financial or technical dependency, and know there is a real human path when something needs attention.
Consultation evidence readiness
Protektant supports documentation, responsiveness, traceability, current internal Impact Studies, Nation Submissions, commitments, monitoring, and regulatory review readiness.
Important: The duty to consult is a Crown obligation. Protektant does not determine adequacy or outcomes and does not provide legal advice.
Jurisdiction-specific obligations vary. Protektant supports documentation and governance workflows but does not determine project approval, negotiation, compensation, accommodation, or regulatory outcomes.
